Believing, Trusting & Sharing Jesus Christ
What We Believe.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, - 2 Timothy 3:16
We believe the Bible.
We believe the Bible is divinely inspired by God. In it, God reveals who He is and what He commands to mankind. (Deuteronomy 4:1–2; Psalm 19:7-10; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
We believe in the Trinity.
We believe there is only one true God, but He exist eternally in 3 persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 44:6; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in Jesus.
We believe that Jesus, God the Son, is fully God and fully man. That through His life, death, and resurrection salvation is made possible; and there is no other salvation except through Him. (John 11:25-27; Acts 2:22-24; Philippians 2:5-11)
We believe in original sin.
We believe that, through Adam, sin has corrupted us and our world. This left the world in need of salvation. (Genesis 3:1-6, 17-19; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3)
We believe in grace.
We believe salvation is accomplished by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, and in Jesus Christ alone. (John 1:12-14; Ephesians 2:1-10; 1 Peter 1:2-5)
We believe in the Church.
We believe the Church is made up of those who have put their faith in Jesus. The mission of the Church is to make Jesus known by making disciples. (Matthew 18:15-20; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 1:2)
We believe in Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
We observe believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe God has given us these things to strengthen our faith and draw us closer to Him. (Acts 2:41-42; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 10:16)
We believe we are made in God’s image.
We believe that all humans are equal in dignity and value, from the moment of conception, because they are made in the image of God, regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender. (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 22:36-40; Galatians 1:15; James 2:8-9)
We believe in marriage.
We believe the pattern for sex and marriage is a one male-one female union. This was established by God, in Eden, as He officiated the marriage of Adam and Eve. (Genesis 2:24; Proverbs 18:22; Romans 1:18-32; Hebrews 13:4)
We believe in heaven and hell.
We believe that those, united to Jesus by faith, will spend eternity with Him, in His kingdom. Those who reject Jesus will spend eternity separated from the presence of God. (Matthew 25:46; Philippians 3:20-21; Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe Jesus is coming again.
We believe that, at the Father’s command, Jesus will return again to gather His people and judge the living and the dead. (Matthew 25:31-46; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18)
